Bitwise Operators

These bitwise operators perform manipulation on integer operands.

& Bitwise-AND (binary)
| Bitwise-inclusive-OR (binary)
^ Bitwise-exclusive-OR (binary)
<< Bitwise shift left (binary)
>> Bitwise shift right (binary)
~ Bitwise negation (unary)

The bitwise shift operators shift their left operand left or right by the number of positions the right operand specifies, bits vacated by the shift operation are zero-filled.
