Gentee Programming Language > Documentation > Launch | Download documentation |
Let’s consider the easiest way of launching programs developed in Gentee. Currently there is no a special shell for entering and launching Gentee programs, therefore you will need a text editor and Windows Explorer, or a file manager. Use the “.g” extension when saving programs entered in a text editor, since it will be easier to launch them using the method described below.
Let’s consider an example. In a file manager or Explorer, open the directory, to which Gentee was installed (as a rule, it is C:\Program Files\Gentee) and select the Tutorial subdirectory, in which you will see a list of examples. To launch an example, double-click on it, or press Enter. In the same way the files with .ge extension are launched ( compiled Gentee programs ).
You can create shortcuts in Start->Programs or Desktop for frequently used Gentee programs. It is enough to specify a file with “.g” or “.ge” extension as an executable file. When using shortcuts, launching becomes much easier.
